Welcome to Wiluna Traders!

Wiluna at the junction of the Canning Stock Route and the Gunbarrel Highway is approx. 966km  NE of Perth, it first became famous in 1906 when Alfred Canning and his pioneers built a stock route through 1530km of desert, then came the Gunbarrel Highway connecting it to the NT & SA.

Like many towns in Western Australia, Wiluna began to prosper in the 1930’s with the discovery of gold. A railway service and 4 hotels provided the town’s folk with facilities. The war took its toll and mining became almost non existent but in 1981 the town boomed again with mining, a growth in the local indigenous population and the production of some of Australia’s best quality sheep.
